The World Development Movement is
a leading UK campaigning organisation which wins positive change for
the world’s poorest people. Our cutting edge campaigns have global reach
and include food speculation, the green economy and climate justice.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised person with experience of research and analysis to support our campaigns, and the ability to manage public events for WDM, to join our busy teams for one year maternity leave cover.
This role supports two teams. In our policy and campaigns team (3 days a week), you will play a key support role, assisting with research and analysis of information, and the effective communication of our campaigns to supporters and the wider public. In the network team (2 days a week), you will work with the senior officer on WDM’s events, as well as supporting the network more generally. You will also provide administrative support to the teams, and share core administrative tasks with the other assistants in the organisation.
We need you to be a well-organised individual, with experience of work in the voluntary sector. If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, and can demonstrate a commitment to global justice then we would love to hear from you.
Salary: £24,883 plus non-contributory pension
Closing date: 1pm on Monday 30 July; interviews will be held on Monday 13 August.
